The Practice is open from 8.30am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday except on a Thursday when we close at 1.00pm. The practice closes on bank and public holidays. We will advise patients of any upcoming holidays via our telephone messaging system and our website.
Appointments can be made for any day except Thursday afternoon. The earliest is at 8.30am and the latest is at 4.50pm. We always try our best to accommodate urgent problems.
Appontments with a GP can now be booked online (subject to availability). Please note these appointments are NOT designed for longer complex problems or specialised clinics. Please note that if an inappropriate booking is made with the GP and/or not enough time has been allocated; your appointment may have to be rescheduled. You must be a registered Patient Access user to avail of this facility please ring reception for more details.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
On Thursday afternoon a Doctor is on call for emergencies.
No appointment necessary, patients are seen in the order they arrive.
Open Surgery, is suitable for sudden illness or brief consultations. It is not necessary to phone reception before attending. This is a strict one problem per patient surgery and is not appropriate to request repeat medication during this time.
Open Surgery will be limited to 60 patients on Monday and 40 patients on Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri, this is to allow for the GP’s to see people who need urgent care and help like Pregnant mums, Elderly and the Long term sick.
9.00am – 10.30am
The treatment room is open from 8.30am – 10.30am each morning for blood samples and BP monitoring. No appointment is necessary patients are seen in the order they arrive.
We also offer a booked appointment service daily with our treatment room nurse for blood samples and BP checks between 9am and 1030am.
For patients with blood monitoring and INR checks specific clinics are available to book. These clinics will run twice weekly, Monday and Wednesday’s from 9am – 12noon with one of our treatment room nurses.
The afternoon treatment room is open from 2.00pm – 4.50pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. This is by appointment only. No bloods can be taken in the afternoon, due to Ulster Hospital Laboratory collection times.
Ear syringes, dressings, injections and travel advice require an afternoon booked appointment in the treatment room.
Asthma/ COPD and Diabetic Annual Reviews must be booked with our Practice Nurses, a longer appointment time is required.
Cervical Smears are carried out by our Practice Nurses on allocated clinic days each month. Patients are also able to attend Familiy Planning clinics to have their smear done if our clinic time and dates do not suit.
