This year we plan to start immunising patients for the influenza vaccine on the 16th and 23rd October 2021. This is to help protect our patients and therefore reduce any potential strain on the practice and NHS over the winter months. However, this is subject to vaccine as there is currently a shortage of vaccine’s for the over 65s.
If you have already had the vaccine at the surgery or a local pharmacy, please do not attend.
The clinics are by letter invitation only with the invites for the clinic on the 16th October 2021 being sent on the 5th October 2021. Invitations for the clinic on the 23rd October 2021 have been sent on the 13.10.2021. If you haven’t received an invitation at this stage pleased do not contact the practice. Invites have been sent to parents of children aged 2 – 4 years old on the 10.11.21. It is important that you make every effort to attend these clinics as opportunities to receive the vaccine at a latter date will be limited. Patients who are housebound or in nursing / residential homes will be looked after by the community teams.
Please arrive at the indicated time on the letter and follow social distancing guidelines.
